Cushioning Material Test
To design the ideal cushioning material, we need to know the characteristic of these materials. In this phase, we would like to explain testing method for cushioning materials with equipment and analysis by captured data.
Fig.7 shows the testing system for the cushioning materials by dynamic compression mechanism. We can get Cushion Curve according to JIS-Z-0235 with this system. Cushion Curve is constructed by static stress versus peak acceleration. According to this graph and critical acceleration of the product, proper thickness and area can be leaded to. Prototype package freight is made by its data and is carried out by evaluation test.
